Kelly Clarkson was an American artist and songwriter who was the America's sweetheart when she won American Idol in the first series. Since her debut her album, she's released several albums. Of those albums three reached number one on the US Billboard 200. The others were close to reaching the top position. Her name is among America's top performers. When she was successful, she explored a variety of themes and music styles often writing her own songs of her own feelings. Her uniqueness and vocal talent earned her praise from critics and a number of high-profile award. In particular, she's won three times the Grammy Award three times. Apart from her professional career in music, she's also seen on TV and in film. She also wrote the children's storybook River Rose and the Magical Lullaby as well as been associated with a number of charities.
