Harry Edward Styles or Harry Styles as he's referred to to the pop world, is a British singing and composing. Harry Styles belongs to the band One Direction. Born in Holmes Chapel (Cheshire), England, on 1 February 1994, he is the son Des Styles, and Anne Cox. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School where he created his own group of musicians with three classmates, which was named the White Eskimo. They were the winners of the Battle of Bands in 2009 due to their impressive performances. He always had an interest in the arts, however he also wished to pursue a career as an attorney, physiotherapist or even a scout. While working in the city's pastry shop, Harry Styles was able to provide for his family. In the year 2010, Harry Styles presented audition for The X Factor where he sang Is not She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and was selected. The reason for this was that the group split. Nicole Scherzinger was the judge who recommended Harry Styles to be part the group that would later be called One Direction, along with Liam Payne Zayn malik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. The creation of the group was a fact in 2010, and the five members were funded by Simon Cowell. In the contest, the group performed songs like My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson and Total Eclipse of the Heart from Bonnie Tyler so the group was one of the contenders to win the contest. However, they came in third, just behind Rebecca Ferguson. Even though Harry Styles and his group did not win Cowell paid a contract of 2 million pounds to One Direction to sign with the Syco record label.
