Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton, born Jan. 19, 1946, in Locust Ridge Tenn. to a family of 12 poor children that would be raised in the same household, figured out very early on how to conquer of the difficulties she faced through her vibrant and imaginative imagination. Prior to learning how to read or write Dolly Parton had already begun to compose her own songs. In 8 years, she was playing her first guitar. In the age of 11 when she was 11, she began singing at the Knoxville Tennessee radio station. That following time, Gold Band Records was an independent label. At the age of 16, she made herself known to the school community but her goals were bigger. After she finished her high school, in 1964 she moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde was her first single to reach the top of the charts for the first time on Monument Records. Porter Wagoner began looking for new female vocalists for his syndicated television program at approximately the same at the same time. Parton was hired in the year 1967 and signed by RCA Records by 1968, she joined the Grand Ole Opry. It was not until 1974 that she opted to walk away from Wagoner's band because the popularity of her own solo records including Joshua Coat, Many Colors and Jolene had outstripped their collaborative efforts. The song by Parton, I Will Never Have Love for You (for Wagoner), hit the No. number 1 position after the duo split. First time, in 1974.
