Kate Capshaw

She is best known for her role as Kate Capshaw, an American actress who has retired. Her part in the role of Willie Scott (an American nightclub performer and singer) in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), that was directed by her eventual husband Steven Spielberg, is her most well-known. She has been in Dreamscape (1984), Power(1986), SpaceCamp(1986), Black Rain (1989), Love Affair (94), Just Cause (1995) and The Love Letter (1999). The portraits of her work have been displayed at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery Capshaw was born Kathleen Sue Nail in Fort Worth, Texas, the daughter of Beverley Sue (nee Simon), a beauty and travel agent and Edwin Leon Nail, an airline employee of the airline. When she was of five, she moved to St. Louis and graduated from Hazelwood Senior High School. Capshaw was awarded a degree at the University of Missouri in education. She was also a member of Alpha Delta Pi. She was a special education teacher at Southern Boone High School Ashland, Missouri and Rock Bridge High School Columbia, Missouri.
